Get organised in 2020 πŸ˜‡πŸ“

Now that the holidays are over it’s time to look forward to a New Year and indeed a new decade. We can think about the goals we want to set ourselves and the changes we wish to make in our life.

I love the feeling of new beginnings and fresh starts, so one of my main projects this year is to be more organised.

Organisation is a key part of productivity. When clutter grows, our attention drops and our performance can suffer as a result. When our brain, time, workspace and projects are organised, it becomes easier to streamline both our actions and our thoughts.

So I thought I would look at some great ways to get organised and hopefully grow our productivity.

Before I embark on any new project I like to equip myself with some beautiful things to make the task more joyous!

A beautiful notebook is my absolute starting point for any new project.

Followed of course with some equally gorgeous pens and pencils.

Finally what better way to keep all your important bits together, than a perfect pouch.

Right, now the basics are in place, let’s look at 3 key areas to becoming super organised:

1. Organise your time:

  • Start with goals. When organising your time, the first thing you should do is identify your goals. Goals help us focus our energy and serve as a starting point for identifying what we need to get done.
  • Outline our priority. Once we have identified our goals, our priority will become clear. This will be the most important task that we need to complete in order to accomplish our goals and move forward.
  • Set out time blocks. Create a schedule each day to allow time for every task you need to complete.

2. Organise your workspace:

  • Have everything you need in reach
  • Get rid of non-essentials
  • Put paperwork in its place
  • Organize your virtual workspace with an good electronic filing system.

3. Organize your brain!
The last point is just as important. To organize your brain you need to get plenty of rest, concentrate on one task at a time, take breaks and allow yourself little rewards when you achieve each goal.

Wishing you all a very happy and organized 2020!
